Vitamins are essential to the normal functioning of our bodies. They are necessary for growth, vitality, health, general well being, and for the prevention and cure of many health problems and diseases. There are 2 types of vitamins, water soluble and fat-soluble.The fat soluble vitamins are vitamins A, D, E and K and are stored in the body for up to 6 months. Water soluble vitamins consist of B vitamins and Vitamin C and need to be replaced daily as they are easily excreted through urine and are not readily stored in the body.
